ÖZET
Travayın 2. evresinde bazen fetus başının traksiyonu gereklidir. Bu amaçla klasik forsepsler ve vakum ekstraktör kullanılabilir. Genellikle nullipar gebelerde perine direncine bağlı olan ve rölatif baş pelvis uyumsuzluklarında da görülen uzamış travay enstrüman kullanmayı gerektirir. Bunların yanında fetal distresle, maternal solunum sistemi ve kalp hastalıkları da travayın kısaltılmasına ihtiyaç gösterir. 76'sını Naegele forsepsi ile doğurttuğumuz, birini sezaryenle doğurtmak zorunda kaldığımız, 83'ü de spontan doğuran 160 gebede maternal ve fetal sonuçları karşılaştırdık.

ABSTRACT
The extraction of the fetal head is sometimes necessary during the second stage of labor. Classical forceps and vacuum extractor may be used for this purpose. Prolonged labor due to perineal resistance encountered generally at nulliparous pregnant women and relative cephalopelvic disproportion need using the instruments. Besides the fetal distress, maternal cardiac or respiratory diseases require shortening the travail. We compared the maternal and fetal outcomes of the 160 patients 76 of whom were delivered by Naegele's Forceps but one of whom underwent Cesarean sectio, other 83 patients gave birth spontaneous.
