ÖZET
Fetal ağırlık tahmininde ultrasound ölçümlerinin doğruluğunu belirlemek için Thompson formülünü uyguladık. Formül, tahmini doğum tarihinden 1-13 gün önce USG ile incelenen ve BPD'i ölçülen hastalara uygulandı. Prospektif çalışmada 1500-4500 gr'lık yenidoğanların, tahmini fetal ağırlık ve doğum ağırlığı arasında ufak bir hata payı ile pozitif korelasyon gösterildi. Standart sapması 218 gr idi. %73 vakada doğum ağırlığına yakın konuçlar elde edildi.

ABSTRACT
To improve the accuracy of fetal weight estimation by ultrasound measurement, we revised the Thompson' formula. The formula were established by measuring BDP by ultrasound examination 1 to 13 days before birth. The prospective study showed a positive correlation between estimated weights and actual birth weights with a small range of error in infants weighing between 1500 gr and 4500 gr. It had standart deviation of 218 gr. Estimates closest to the birth weight were obtained in 73% of cases.
