ÖZET
Amaç: Endometrial karsinomlarda bilinen prognostik faktörlerle lizozomal asidik peroksidaz olan cathepsin D arasında korelasyon olup olmadığını araştırmak.Çalışmanın Yapıldığı Yer: Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Kadın Hastalıkları ve Doğum ABD ve Patoloji ABD.Materyel ve Metod: 37 endometrial adenokarsinomlu olgunun formalinle fikse parafin kesitlerinde immunohistokimyasal boyama ile cathepsin D ölçümleri yapıldı. Cathepsin D içeriği ile tümörün cerrahi evresi, hücresel derecesi ve myometrial invazyon derinliği arasındaki korelasyonlar araştırıldı. İstatistiksel değerlendirmede Mann-Whitney U testi ve Spearman Correlation Coefficients testi kullanıldı.Bulgular: Olguların yaş ortalaması 58di. Histolojik grade, cerrahi evre ve myometrial invazyon derinliği ile cathepsin D içeriği arasında anlamlı korelasyon tespit edilmedi (P>0.05).Sonuç: Cathepsin Dnin endometrium adenokarsinomunda kullanılan üç önemli prognostik faktörle ilişkili olmadığı düşünüldü. Bu konuda geniş vaka serileri içeren çalışmalara ihtiyaç vardır.

ABSTRACT
Objective: To investigate of correlation between lysosomal acidic protease cathepsin D and prognostic factors in endometrial carcinoma.Institution: Dokuz Eylül University School of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Department of Pathology.Material and Methods: Immunohistochemical staining was performed on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections from a subset of 37 endometrial cancer patients. Correlation between cathepsin D content and surgical stage, histological grade and depth of myometrial invasion was investigated. Mann-Whitney U Test and Spearman Correlation Coefficients Test were used for the statistical analysis. Findings: The mean age of the patients was 58. There was no significant correlation with cathepsin D content with surgical stage, histological grade and depth of myometrial invasion (P>0.05).Results: From these findings, we conclude that cathepsin D is not related to three important prognostic factors in endometrial carcinoma. Further studies including large series are necessary.
