ABSTRACT
To discuss the approach to the patients with agenesis of the corpus callosum (ACC), and also to discuss difficulties in intrauterin diagnosis in light of current literature due to a case.A patient who was 30 years old woman presented to our clinic with a complaint of infertility. After the treatment for infertility, she was diagnosed as having fetal isolated ACC during prenatal screening, and the pregnancy was terminated. The diagnosis of ACC was confirmed in the histopathological examination.Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum (ACC) is an uncommonly seen fetal anomaly that the prevalence, and clinical importance is unknown. Etiology of ACC is heterogenous. Routine karyotype analysis is suggested in these cases because of the association with genetic abnormalities. ACC is important for not only the relationship to increased frequency of fetal abnormalities, but also difficulties in the diagnosis.
