ÖZET
Jinekolojik kanserli hastalar, tedaviyi takiben genellikle östrojen eksikliğine maruz kalır. Tedavi prosedürleri veya doğal menopoz sonucunda ortaya çıkan bu durum, çeşitli semptomların ortaya çıkmasına neden olur. Neoplastik hastalıklarda HRT kullanımı kabul edilmiş olmasına rağmen, yine de hormon sensitif neoplazmlarda HRT kullanımına şüphe ile yaklaşılmaktadır. HRT öncesinde kar ve zarar analizi yapılıp, hastalar bireysel değerlendirilmelidir. Jinekolojik malignansi öyküsü olan hastalarda HRTnin kullanımı literatür dahilinde incelenmiştir.
ABSTRACT
With the treatment of genital tract cancer, women are often left in an estrogen-deficient state, and may experience a series of symptoms due to lack of hormones. The need for an estrogen-progestogen substitution because of these symptoms is a frequent problem in post-cancer patients. Although administering hormone therapy in most of the neoplastic human disease has been accepted universally, many physicians are still hesitant in giving HRT to these patients, for the fear that hormones may stimulate neoplastic growth. The aim of this paper is to review the current knowledge about the administration of hormone replacement therapy following treatment of gynecological cancer.
