Yan etkiler hafifti. Klindamisin grubunda yumuşak gaita, Metronidazol grubunda gastrointestinal rahatsızlık şikayeti daha fazla görüldü. Sonuç: Oral klindamisin Bakteriyal Vajinozis tedavisinde metronidazol kadar etkilidir. Bakteriyal vajinozis tedavisinde önerilen dozlarda yan etki azdır.
ABSTRACT
Objective: To compare the efficacy of oral clindamycin and metronidazole for the treatment of bacterial vaginosis. Institution: Karadeniz Technical University, the Faculty of Medicine, Department of Obstetric and Gynecology, Trabzon. Material and Methods: According to their clinical examinations and Gram stain criteria, sixty-five women with bacterial vaginosis were assigned to receive either oral clindamycin or metronidazole for the treatment of bacterial vaginosis. The patients were seen for follow-up at 15 days after completion of therapy. Results: The cure rate at 15 days after therapy was 78% (25/32) in the clindamycin group versus 82% (27/33) in the metronidazole group (p> 0.05) Adverse reactions were mild, though more patients receiving metronidazole complained of gastrointestinal upset, and loose stool was more common in the oral clindamycin group. Conclusions: Oral clindamycin is as effective for the treatment of bacterial vaginosis as metronidazole, and adverse reactions are mild in the doses of the treatment of bacterial vaginosis.
